The National Student Exchange is a study away opportunity that allows you to take new courses, see new places, make new friends, and enroll in academic options that may not be available on the bet36365体育 campus. You can study for a single term or academic year at one of nearly 200 NSE member colleges and universities in the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. bet36365体育 does not currently exchange with Canada.
In order to participate in the National Student Exchange program, you must:
Your eligible time for exchange may include exchange to more than one NSE campus, may cross two or more calendar years, or may involve exchange from more than one home institution. No matter the mix of home campuses, host campuses or time away, you may only participate in NSE for a cumulative total of time not to exceed one calendar year, defined as an academic year (two semesters or three quarters) and a summer session. Not all campuses, however, can accommodate summer exchange.
NSE utilizes two different plans for payment of tuition and fees, Plan A and Plan B. Under Plan A, you will pay the visiting schools in-state tuition and fees. Under Plan B, you will continue to pay bet36365体育’s tuition and fees. If you exchange on Plan B and you have bet36365体育 scholarships, the majority of the time you will still be able to use your scholarship while you’re away. Check with your NSE Coordinator to make sure! Room and board is ALWAYS paid to your host campus. Expenses related to transportation to and from the host campus, personal expenses, and travel and sightseeing opportunities while on exchange are your responsibility. There is a $200 non-refundable application fee due upon submission of your NSE application.
Your Financial Aid will still apply while you’re on exchange.
Research your options by going to www.nse.org
Visit the NSE Coordinator to pick up an application. Review the application and make sure all materials and the application fee are submitted by the appropriate deadline (typically February 15 for the upcoming academic year). The application consists of demographic information, a study statement, and 3 letters of recommendation.
